His defensive efforts helped stymie LA VIBE’s offensive threats throughout the period.
LA VIBE’s offensive efforts were spearheaded by Joe Benavides, who delivered a balanced attack with 8 points on 50% shooting, including 2-of-5 from the three-point line. His ability to stretch the floor kept the Forasteros defense honest and created scoring opportunities for his teammates. Chepo Rodriguez was notable as well, contributing 8 points with a mix of three-pointers and mid-range jumpers that kept LA VIBE within striking distance.
The game was marked by a flurry of three-point shots. Malcolm Mcnair showed his sharpshooting talent for LA VIBE, hitting a key three-pointer and sinking 2 free throws, finishing with 5 points. Meanwhile, Forasteros’ Derbin Cardenas chipped in 6 points with 60% shooting from the field, providing steady scoring and quick rebounds that allowed Forasteros to maintain possession and pace.
The first period was a showcase of shot-making from almost every player on the court, with notable runs from both teams. However, after the initial quarter, the defenses clamped down, resulting in a scoreless second period. The evenly matched squads appeared poised for an overtime showdown, but the scoreboard reflected a deadlock at the final buzzer.
